Kure Beach · Wilmington, NC

Kure Beach residents have been driving past the right answer for years.

Kure Beach is a small, quiet island community—and most residents assume they have to settle for limited options or drive all the way downtown for specialized healthcare. We are located straight up Carolina Beach Road, just past the bridge. Been here since 1991. Word travels slowly in a small community—but it does travel.

Kure Beach Is Underserved

Coastal humidity. Long-term degeneration. We know this combination well.

The coastal humidity in the Kure Beach area is real—and it affects joint health in measurable ways. Patients with arthritis, old injuries, and disc degeneration consistently report that the damp conditions amplify their symptoms seasonally. This is not imagined. Barometric pressure changes with coastal humidity affect joint fluid and nerve sensitivity in ways that are well-documented and that we treat specifically. Dr. Margie addresses the structural component through chiropractic adjustment. Dr. Annis addresses the inflammatory component through hyperbaric oxygen therapy—pressurized oxygen that reduces systemic inflammation in ways that topical treatments and standard medication cannot replicate. For Kure Beach patients who have been managing pain for years rather than resolving it, this combination produces results that surprise most of them. Acupuncture adds another layer—addressing the nervous system dysregulation that often underlies chronic pain in patients who have spent years in a pain cycle without breaking it.

Who We See From Kure Beach

Residents who manage pain quietly — and deserve better than that.

Kure Beach tends to be a self-reliant community. Residents manage their pain, adjust their activities, and push through—often for years—before someone finally convinces them to come in. The patients we see from Kure Beach consistently say the same thing: they wished they’d come sooner. Dr. Margie doesn’t push extended treatment packages or vague open-ended plans. She gives you an honest assessment, tells you what is and isn’t realistic, and builds a plan with a clear end date. Many Kure Beach patients come in expecting to be told they need to commit to 40 visits. They leave having booked 6, and they get results within the first 3. The drive is fifteen minutes. That’s it. For the level of care available here, it’s the shortest investment Kure Beach residents make all week.

Services

What Kure Beach patients benefit from most here.

What Sea Breeze patients benefit from most here.

Coastal humidity, long-term degeneration, and years of unresolved physical strain are the most common drivers for Kure Beach patients. All four of our therapies address different layers—and they are more effective together than any single approach alone.

Chiropractic

adjustment

For Kure Beach patients with long-standing back, hip, and joint issues — especially those managing arthritic degeneration and old injury patterns that weather still aggravates.

Acupuncture

Addresses the nervous system dysregulation and inflammation that coastal humidity amplifies in chronic pain patients — effective alongside or independent of chiropractic.

Hyperbaric Oxygen

Targeted at Kure Beach patients managing systemic inflammation from arthritis, post-surgical conditions, and long-standing joint degeneration that standard treatment hasn't resolved.

Brainspan Assessment

Objective brain health screening — particularly popular with Kure Beach's older adult population who want data on omega-3 levels and cognitive performance before issues escalate.
